DescriptionThe stream running though Taos Pueblo emanates from the sacred Blue Lake high in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains above the Pueblo. This stream is the source of drinking water for the Pueblo inhabitants. In the center of this image a native man crosses the log bridge while women are visible on either side of the stream coming to fill their buckets with water. The backdrop is the pueblo itself, kiva ladders visible leading to the several stories.
