DescriptionAt center, a man in gold and blue is seated on a dais. Behind him are three figures in helmets with flags who are watching attentively. Before him is a white haired and bearded man confined in a small cage, a kneeling man who gestures as if addressing him and four standing figures in helmets who are watching the scene. Behind them is a delicate blue pattern of branches and leaves on a white ground and below them an elaborate carpet design in pink, blue and red (all faded). In the top corners of the image are gold brackets with black and red designs and running along both top and bottom of the image are bands of Persian (Farsi?) script.
