Sandra Lerner
Sandra Lerner graduated from the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts and the Philadelphia College of Art and has been a working artist since 1975. In addition to producing her own work, she is involved in working with and for artists. She was a founding member and is presently a trustee of NEXUS/Foundation for Today's Art. Since moving to Taos in 1989 she has served on the advisory board and art committee of the
Harwood Foundation Museum. Sandra Lerner has been listed in Who's Who in American Art since 1982.
In recent work, Sandra has focused on geometry as the ancient means to measure the world juxtaposed with patterns that are now available through technology that are giving us a new relationship to form and space. The intent is to make works that retain a measure of the mystery of nature and also refer to the clarity of science.
