Jeff Brown

Jeff Brown was the Artist-in-Residence at The Fountain Valley School in Colorado Springs, CO from 2009 through 2014. Before that he was the Chair of the school’s Arts Department from 1983 through 2008. He also taught art and photography for ten years at The Salisbury School in Salisbury, Connecticut. He earned his BFA degree from The Maryland Institute, College of Art in Baltimore, MD. He received his MFA in painting from the Instituto Allende, University of Guanajuato in Mexico, and his Master of Art Education at the Hartford Art School, University of Hartford, in Connecticut. He has also served on the advisory board and as the Chair of the Outdoor Sculpture Committee for the Colorado Springs, CO Pioneers Museum. Brown was an artist representative for the Art Commission of the Pikes Peak Region, as well as a member of the board of trustees at the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. He has shown extensively in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Denver, California, Taos, NM and elsewhere. His work is included in the permanent collections of the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center and the Harwood Museum of Art, Taos, NM. Brown has shown his artwork at Art In Bloom Gallery, the MC Erny Gallery, the Juggling Gypsy and Expo 216 in Wilmington. Brown recently taught drawing at Brunswick Community College.
