DescriptionThe print is executed using a sfumato technique so that the cathedral-like spires of the canyon recede into a hazy background. The foreground, a clearing of trees that line a creek, is also rendered as a light filled, but transparent setting. The sky, reflecting the landscape below is filled with an amorphous and swirling cloud cover, at the center of which are two small birds.
