DescriptionTwo men in straw hats (lower left and right) are gathering broomgrass, a tall grass typically used for making brooms. Two women are holding the long grass and heading back toward the adobe pueblo that is visible mid background. A tall luminous cottonwood dominates the left corner. Taos Mountain stands behind the pueblo. Distinctive cross hatching strokes are visibile in the sky. The figures appear to be working in the bright light while the distant background is dark and portending a weather change.
